Morgan Stanley Hires Former US Football Veteran To Wealth Team

Morgan Stanley has appointed Wayne Chrebet, a National Football League veteran who played with the New York Jets, to the firm’s global wealth management group office in Red Bank, New Jersey. He will work as a financial advisor, according to a statement from the bank.

Mr Chrebet joins The Moldaver Group, a six-strong wealth management team, led by senior vice president Ed Moldaver.

Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, Mr Chrebet played in the NFL for 11 seasons.

A number of wealth management firms have employed former top-class sports players as staff as well as set up units catering explicitly to sports, media and entertainment professionals. In the UK, for example, Austin Healey, a former UK rugby union star and television personality, has been hired by Credit Suisse as a personal banker.
