Lombard Odier Investment Managers Recruits Risk, Ops, IT Head

Geneva-based Lombard Odier Investment Managers, part of the Swiss private banking group Lombard Odier Darier Hentsch & Cie, has named Philip Chew as head of risk, operations and IT.
Chew was latterly a managing director at BlackRock Solutions, the risk analytics and investment platform of the US asset management giant, where he headed a team based in the US and UK for five years. Before this he spent some 14 years leading the building of risk reporting, research and portfolio management systems at BlackRock.
In his new role Chew will first be based in LOIM’s New York office before subsequently moving to Geneva. He reports to Hubert Keller, a group managing partner who is responsible for LOIM.
In recent moves out of the Swiss firm, earlier this month WealthBriefing was able to exclusively reveal that UK private bank Kleinwort Benson had recruited a new head of strategic wealth planning from Lombard Odier in the form of Marianne Kafena.
Kafena, who was a senior wealth planner involved in providing legal support to private bankers at Kleinwort, will assume her new role in November, reporting to Guy McGlashan, head of wealth management.
