Natixis Investment Management Names New MEACA Head

There have been a number of C-level and senior management changes at the firm, which is headquartered in France and the US, and part of Groupe BPCE.

Natixis Investment Managers has appointed a new head of Middle East, Africa, and Central Asia: Wassim Nasrallah. Nasrallah is replacing Suhail Albaz, who has left the business.

Nasrallah is based in Dubai and reports to Andrew Benton, executive managing director, head of Northern Europe & MEACA.

With 30 years’ experience in the financial services industry, Nasrallah began his career at Lehman Brothers in 1994, spending 14 years there where he ran generalist sales in the Middle East, before moving on to Gottex Fund Management. In 2011 he joined Principal Asset Management to establish the company’s presence in the region in his role as MD, head of Middle East & Africa.

At the start of the year, Natixis Investment Managers appointed one of its senior figures, Nathalie Bricker, as deputy chief executive. Separately, Philippe Setbon was appointed chief executive officer of Natixis Investment Managers, in charge of asset and wealth management for Groupe BPCE.

Headquartered in Paris and Boston, Natixis Investment Managers is part of the Global Financial Services division of Groupe BPCE, the second-largest banking group in France. Natixis Investment Managers’ affiliated investment management firms include Ostrum Asset Management.
