Chubb Continues Advance Across Asia With New Office

The international insurer continues its advance in China with a new branch office.

US-listed insurance giant Chubb, which recently made a top-level Asian appointment as part of a business drive in the region, has officially opened its Guangdong Branch in the heart of Guangzhou, Southern China.

The new branch is licensed to provide commercial property and casualty and personal lines products and services to customers in Guangdong province. Product offerings include property, casualty, marine, construction and energy, financial lines as well as group and personal accident and health insurance products.

Besides its China headquarters in Shanghai, Chubb has a branch office in Jiangsu. Chubb has had a presence in China since 1994 when it set up its first representative office there; it opened a branch company in 2000.

The latest branch opening follows the completion in January of ACE Limited's acquisition of The Chubb Corporation and the launch of the new Chubb brand globally.
