Sal. Oppenheim Buys into Private Equity Firm

German private bank Sal. Oppenheim has become a majority shareholder in Cologne-headquartered private equity firm CAM Private Equity. CAM currently manages assets of approximately €2.7 billion. Friedrich Carl Janssen, general partner of Sal. Oppenheim, said: “By strengthening our alternative assets capabilities, Sal. Oppenheim intends to become a premier provider of alternative investment products. In this context, CAM will become the leading company for private equity fund investments within the Oppenheim group and will significantly expand private equity activities on both the national and international level.”
