UBS has been ranked the top private bank in three Asian markets, although Citi has come out on top in the highest wealth management market segment in the latest Asiamoney poll. Asian high net worth individuals have voted Citi Private Bank the top private bank in the region for clients with $25 million or more under management, with UBS and BNP Paribas winning the categories for less rich clients. Asiamoney's third annual private banking poll surveyed the views of 731 high net worth individuals in the Asia-Pacific region, who were asked to nominate which three private banks they considered to be the best in 12 separate categories. These results were then broken down into three income groups, and also on a country basis. In the top income category, of $25 million or more under management, Citi was followed by UBS Wealth Management and then BNP Paribas. In the category of clients with $5-$25 million under management, UBS was ranked first, followed by BNP and then Citi. For those with $1-$5 million under management, BNP Paribas was ranked first, followed by UBS and Deutsche Bank Private Wealth Management. On a country basis, UBS was ranked first in Hong Kong, Taiwan and Singapore, Deutsche in India, and Samsung Securities in Korea.
