, the private wealth management business of Spark Capital Group, has added a team of eight bankers across India, an example of the country’s rapid ascent as a wealth management market.

The firm advises on about 52,250 crore ($5.47 billion) of client assets and says it is among the fastest-growing businesses within the Spark Capital Group, an integrated financial services organisation in India. In total, it serves more than 6,140 clients.

The new team brings experience across private wealth management, with Jasjeet Singh joining as executive director alongside senior professionals who have advised entrepreneurs, business families and ultra-high net worth individuals.

“The appointments come at a time when the private wealth management industry is witnessing intense competition for experienced talent,” Spark Capital PWM said in a statement.

In recent years the firm has attracted senior bank talent from institutions including HDFC, Kotak Wealth, ICICI Securities, InCred Wealth, LGT and Centrum Wealth.

“Professionals are choosing Spark Capital PWM for the opportunity to build on their relationships and personal brands within an entrepreneurial, client-first culture, backed by institutional strength. For us, the real value lies in creating long-term alignment between individual professionals and the franchise they are helping build,” Amit Rathi, managing director, Spark Capital PWM, said.

Spark Capital Group, founded a quarter of a century ago, operates three main business: private wealth management, investment banking and investment management. It serves corporations, institutional investors, family offices and HNW individuals in India and overseas. Its entities are registered with the Securities and Exchange Board of India.

According to data for 2025 from the Capgemini World Wealth Report, published in June this year, India's HNW population (those with $1 million or more of investable assets) stood at nearly 390,000, rising 3 per cent from a year ago. That population group held a total of approximately $1.64–1.65 trillion, rising 4.6 per cent year-on-year.
