The Ministry of Investment and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade have agreed to establish an advisory platform to deepen private sector investment ties between the UAE and China. The UAE's Ministry of Investment has signed a memorandum of understanding with the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) to establish the China-UAE Business Advisory Committee. The committee is a platform intended to enable direct engagement between private investors and businesses in the two countries.
The MoU was signed by Mohammad Abdulrahman Alhawi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Investment, and Lin Honghong, vice chairwoman of CCPIT.
The committee is designed to provide a structured channel for dialogue between UAE and Chinese businesses, supporting the identification of investment opportunities, cooperation projects and partnerships, alongside information exchange and business matchmaking. It sits alongside the existing government-to-government framework that guides bilateral investment cooperation, adding a dedicated route for private sector collaboration.
China accounted for 4.8 per cent of the UAE's total inward foreign direct investment stock in 2025. It remains the country's largest global trading partner. Nearly 16,000 Chinese companies operate in the UAE.
