FGA Trust Expands Asian Reach, Opens Tokyo Office

, a trust and corporate services provider licensed in Hong Kong, has established a representative office in Tokyo. 

The office, which will be led by Mone Ota, will provide a local, Japanese-language point of contact for high net worth individuals, families, business owners and professional advisors.

The new operation will focus on client liaison, preliminary needs assessment and coordination with FGA Trust's Hong Kong team and, where appropriate, independent legal, tax and other professional advisors, the firm said in a statement.

All trust and corporate services are provided by FGA Trust's Hong Kong licensed entity, subject to applicable laws, regulations, client onboarding, know-your-client and anti-money-laundering requirements. 

FGA Trust is licenced under Hong Kong's Trust or Company Service Provider regime.

The business cited Flow of Funds Accounts data from the Bank of Japan as reasons for the move. The data, released on 25 June, showed that household financial assets in Japan stood at ¥2,386 trillion (about $15 trillion) at the end of March 2026, an increase of 7.1 per cent from a year earlier.
