Janus Henderson
Asset manager , an Australian wealth management provider. The transaction includes the acquisition of three specialist investment management businesses: Antares Fixed Income, Antares Equities, and Fairview Equity Partners.

The financial terms of the transaction, which is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2026 subject to customary closing conditions, including regulatory approval, were not disclosed.

The three businesses manage about A$33 billion ($23 billion) covering Australian fixed income, broad-cap equities, and small-cap equities. They will deepen Janus Henderson’s commitment to Australia and expand its local investment capability, the firm said in a statement. The client base is predominantly institutional, spanning both Insignia mandates and third-party institutional clients while also including a range of established retail investment strategies.

Antares Fixed Income will join Janus Henderson’s Australian fixed interest team, creating a large fixed income offering in the local market. Antares Equities will become part of Janus Henderson’s global equity business, providing Australian large-cap equities serving institutional and retail clients. Fairview Equity Partners, in which Janus Henderson will acquire Insignia’s 40 per cent stake, will continue to operate independently as a boutique Australian small-cap manager, the firm said.

The transaction will enhance a long-term partnership between Janus Henderson and Insignia, through which Janus Henderson said it would deliver a range of its global investment capabilities across Insignia’s investment solutions.

The transaction aligns with Janus Henderson’s broader strategy of partnering with large institutional clients and scaling existing capabilities in areas of client demand, while supporting its priorities by strengthening its core business in Australia and diversifying its capabilities through the acquisition of established investment teams.
