, has received regulatory approval to launch its JP Morgan Singapore & Asia Equity Income Fund under the Monetary Authority of Singapore’s Equity Market Development Programme (EQDP).
The fund has a 50 per cent allocation to Singapore equities – spanning large, mid, and small cap stocks – with the other half allocated to Asia ex-Japan equities. The fund aims to deliver diversified income, capital appreciation and lower volatility.
Fund diversification is achieved by investing across financial instruments, countries and sectors in Asia, including Singapore.
To reduce volatility, the fund employs an overlay strategy, combined with meaningful Singapore dollar exposure.
Singapore-based equity portfolio managers Pauline Ng and Changqi Ong manage the fund.
“Singapore’s equity market is home to high-yielding stocks across market caps and sectors, and we are excited to bring a differentiated solution that leverages these opportunities,” Ng, head of ASEAN equity team, emerging markets and Asia-Pacific equities at JPMAM, said.
The fund is available to retail, accredited, and institutional investors in Singapore.
