Sun Life Leung will be responsible for managing Sun Life’s Asia agency business and key initiatives including agency recruitment, activation, compensation, training and development, and recognition. He will be joining from AIA where he has served in various senior agency distribution roles since 2003, and was responsible for building sustainable agency growth and implementing successful digital strategies for its agency force across the region. In a statement, Sun Life said that his appointment underscores the its commitment to strengthening distribution capabilities and investing in long-term growth across Asia – one of its most important strategic markets. “His leadership will be invaluable as we accelerate the growth of our agency business and bring our advisor value proposition to life across the region,” Broom said. “Frankie wll play an instrumental role on how we enhance our advisor experience from investing in their development, strengthening their ability to support Clients’ financial wellbeing, and equipping them with the tools and training needed to deliver confident, future ready financial planning.” Citi Rowe previously spent 10 years at NAB, where she had a long track record of syndicating securitised products in the UK and Australian market. Most recently, Rowe spent the last four years running the syndication desk in London, connecting Australian issuers with the integral UK and EU investor base. Jessica was based in Sydney prior to that. Rowe, who is joining the Spread Products Syndication team, will be responsible for the execution of primary securitisation transactions across RMBS, ABS and CMBS/CRE in Australia and APAC. She will be working closely with internal structuring and originations teams, sales and trading to increase the growth of Citi’s Financing and Securitisation franchise in the region. Harris has more than 15 years’ experience working at UBS and Deutsche Bank in their Debt Syndicate teams in London. Harris was previously at Commonwealth Bank of Australia, where he led product development for the fixed income division. He will lead the effort for A$ unsecured bond syndication, pricing, and distribution for domestic and Kangaroo* issuers, working closely with partners in DCM and Leverage Finance, Markets Sales and Trading and Risk to deliver Citi’s A$ debt underwriting capabilities to investors and issuers alike. *A kangaroo bond is a foreign bond issued in Australian dollars by non-domestic entities, including corporations, financial institutions, and governments. “These two appointments demonstrate our commitment to leading in the Australian dollar corporate credit, rates and ABS securitised products space,” Cristina Chang, Citi Australia and New Zealand head of Markets, said. “Australia has the third largest corporate bond market of all G10 currencies,following the USD and euro.
