Chinese financial technology organisation Jimubox has launched an online wealth management platform that caters for a range of products and asset classes. It has also rolled out a trading solution. The platform includes the app JimuStock, and JinNang, the trading solution. The launch comes as the company has built a growing financial marketplace over the past two years. Technology plays a major role in aiding the Chinese affluent class with investment options and financial advice and wealth management, according to Dong Jun, founder and chief executive of Jimubox. “Technology is the key to solving these problems by combining intelligent advice with a portfolio management strategy that includes a variety of asset classes to reduce the overall risk of an investment portfolio,” Jun said in a statement. The app is the first step in launching an intelligent advisory platform, and in expanding investment opportunities for users, the firm said. Investors in China can open a US regulated brokerage account on the app in less than five minutes, it continued. The platform allows investors to manage onshore and offshore investments, exchange traded funds, US equities and onshore mutual funds. According to Barry Freeman, co-founder of Jimubox, the launch gives investors fresh options. “By reducing the friction in accessing the US capital markets, we are changing the game for our user base, delivering them the ability to build a globally diversified investment portfolio,” he said. Trading solution The trading solution will deliver original financial content, educating investors about current events, market trends, financial planning and investment basics. It then provides tradable financial products that match the content. In a round of financing in April, Jimubox raised $84 million, allowing it to finance the new platform.
To allow investors to be directly involved in choosing assets in their portfolios, Jimubox also launched a knowledge driven trading solution, called JinNang. It will combine financial education with real-time, tradable financial products.
