Vontobel's Structured Products Platform Adds Bank To Asia Distribution Suite

Swiss private bank and investment house Vontobel announced yesterday that it has admitted Crédit Industriel et Commercial (CIC) to its deritrade® Multi Issuer Platform in Asia-Pacific, which Vontobel says highlights rising demand from distributors in the region for structured products at a low cost.

The deritrade® MIP platform is a “front-to-back” offering to distributors and issuers in Asia-Pacific by automating price discovery of structured products and the value chain from the point of issuance to distribution and post-trade life cycle management.

CIC is the seventh distributor to join the Vontobel platform in Asia Pacific this year, the Swiss bank said in a statement. Anup Gupta, Head of deritrade® MIP in Asia-Pacific, said the firm is working with a number of other distributors in the Asia region.

In Europe, the platform works with issuers such Deutsche Bank, JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley, Société Générale, UBS, Vontobel and ZKB, representing more than 70 per cent of the exchange-traded structured products volume in Switzerland.
