Cazenove Capital has bolstered its Jersey office with the addition of Paul Battams as a portfolio manager.

Battams will join Cazenove next month from Lloyds TSB Private Banking, where he was a Geneva-based equity analyst. However, he previously worked for the firm in Jersey.

In his new role Battams will report to Euan Dangerfield, head of Cazenove Capital’s private wealth management team in Jersey – which has seen its assets under management grow by over 10 per cent to £1.3 billion (around $2 billion) in the past year. Overall the firm runs £15.6 billion in client assets.

Earlier this year the firm named James Gladstone as director of financial planning, recruiting him from UBS Wealth Management, where he had been head of UK financial planning and an executive director. Prior to UBS, Gladstone worked at Rathbones and AXA Life.
