Covering a range of competition formats, the tournament, which runs until Thursday, also raises funds for the EFG-supported golf and athletes organisations.

Players in the second iteration of the EFG International Golf Challenge in Singapore teed off today to compete in the event, held at the Tampines Course at Tanah Merah Country Club. 

Running through to Thursday, the event brings together junior golfers from across Asia and Europe. The tournament aims at promoting sporting excellence and fostering young talent.

Team Asia and Team Europe are competing in different formats – for example, foursomes, four-ball and singles matches, EFG International said. 

Representing Team Asia are: Arianna Lau (Hong Kong), Chen Xingtong (Singapore), Anson Yeo (Malaysia), Winnie Ng (Malaysia), Parat Sukanant (Thailand), Parin Sarasmut (Thailand), Brayden Lee (Singapore), Isaac Lee (Hong Kong), Ryan Ang (Singapore), and Troy Storm (Singapore). 

Team Europe’s members are: Emma Lahaije (Luxembourg), Ella Miserini (Luxembourg), Marie Baertz (Luxembourg), Domitille Das Merces (France), Alexandre Dorier (Luxembourg), Maxime Morn (Luxembourg), Arnaud Castellana (Luxembourg), Aimilios Philippos Tsiridis (Greece), Kostas Tsantsarakis (Greece), and Gabriel Guerreiro (Portugal).

The golf event also raises funds for the EFG Young Athletes Foundation Hong Kong, the Singapore Golf Association and Luxembourg Golf Federation. 

“This event not only showcases exceptional young talent but also underscores EFG’s commitment to supporting these promising athletes as they embark on their journey to sporting excellence. The EFG International Golf Challenge is more than just a golf tournament; it is a celebration of youth and sportsmanship,” Albert Chiu, executive chairman Asia-Pacific of EFG and chairman of the EFG Young Athletes Foundation, said.

The tournament is also an example of how private banks and wealth managers associate themselves with sports for branding, philanthropy, client and civic engagement purposes.
