Withers Expands Its Asian Corporate Arm With Two Key Hires

Withers grows its corporate and finance arm in Asia with two senior hires.

Withers, a international law firm with an extensive financial services focus, has expanded its Asian corporate practise with two senior hires.

Matthew Egerton-Warburton joins as partner while Alana Lam joins as a consultant, according to a statement. Egerton-Warburton was previously a counsel in the corporate and securities practise of Hong Kong-based King & Wood Mallesons while Lam steps in from London-based Slaughter and May where she served as a senior associate in the corporate practice.

Both will work closely with Denis Petkovic, global head of Withers' international finance and projects practise. Petkovic relocated from London to Hong Kong in 2013 to build the Asian corporate and finance team.

Withers' corporate and finance practise works alongside the high-end family and wealth planning practise to provide bespoke solutions to clients in Asian, Europe and the US. The firm specialises in tax law, trusts, estate planning, family law, business law and other legal issues involving individuals, families and their advisors and financiers.
