Citigroup
Citigroup has appointed Prashant Thakker as head of its Asia South corporate bank, effective immediately.

Thakker, who has been heading the capital management business for Japan, Asia North, and Australia and Asia South, will relocate to Singapore in due course.

Such roles feed into the ideas that are shared across the US banking group, including its wealth and private banking businesses.

In this role, Thakker will oversee business strategy, financial performance, talent development, and execution for the Asia South corporate bank across local corporate, financial institution, public sector, and global network banking businesses.

Thakker has worked for 18 years at the US banking group. Earlier in his career, Thakker led diversified industrials coverage and corporate finance in Shanghai. He began at Citigroup as a banker in India, moving to Hong Kong in 2013.
