AsiaNext
AsiaNext, a digital asset exchange that focuses institutions, has appointed David Martin as CEO for its derivatives business. Martin, whose appointment is subject to customary formalities, comes from FalconX, a crypto prime brokerage.

Martin has worked for more than 17 years in areas such as investment management, trading and financial technology, including almost 10 years in the cryptocurrency area. He previously co-founded Blockforce Capital, a crypto hedge fund, and helped launch BLCN, a blockchain exchange-traded fund. Earlier in his career, Martin developed quantitative strategies in macro markets and founded a risk analytics platform for hedge funds.

“AsiaNext is shaping the future of institutional digital assets trading, with a clear path to leadership built on compliance, capital efficiency, and seamless connectivity with traditional finance – moving beyond the limitations of retrofitted retail platforms,” David Newns, head of SDX at SIX Group and member of AsiaNext’s board of directors, said. “David’s appointment marks the beginning of our next phase of growth.”

AsiaNext is an institution-only digital asset exchange for spot, tokenized securities and derivatives, backed by SBI Digital Asset Holdings and SIX Group.
