Who's Moving Where In Wealth Management? - Westpac

The latest moves in the Asia-Pacific wealth management industry.

Westpac

Australia-headquartered Westpac has appointed Frances Cheung as head of macro strategy, Asia, to further expand its financial markets capability.

Cheung joins from Société Générale where she was head of rates strategy, Asia ex-Japan. She has 17 years of experience as an economist and rates strategist covering Asian economies and markets. She was previously head of Asian rates strategy with Credit Agricole, and also spent five years with Standard Chartered Bank. In her new role she is based in Singapore.

The role means Cheung is responsible for leading Westpac’s Asian rates, foreign exchange and macro financial markets strategy across the region, working with a team of analysts to produce insights and analyses of Asia’s capital flows. She will report to Sneha Sanghvi, head of financial markets, Asia in Singapore and David Goodman, head of macro strategy in Sydney.
