Who's Moving Where In Wealth Management? - Sanctuary Wealth, McGuireWoods, Others

The latest senior wealth management executive moves in North America.

Sanctuary Wealth
Sanctuary Wealth has added North Carolina-based RHA Wealth to its network, bringing in a business with about $250 million in assets.

The firm, operating from Raleigh, is the fifth breakaway team to come on board Sanctuary’s network so far this year and the 46th advisor team overall to choose Sanctuary’s partnered independence model.

RHA Wealth consists of managing directors John Rumsey, Robert Hartinger and Clark Abbott, supported by registered senior wealth associate, Ashley Rushin. They were previously with Merrill Lynch.

“They are a team with long careers ahead of them and want to build something of their own, not spend the next 20 or 30 years working for a large bank or wirehouse,” Jim Dickson, CEO and founder of Sanctuary Wealth, said.

A few days ago, Sanctuary Wealth welcomed Cedar Gap Wealth Management as the 45th advisor team and fifth Texas team to join its model.

The Sanctuary Wealth Group includes the fully-owned subsidiaries Sanctuary Advisors, a registered investment advisor, and the broker-dealer Sanctuary Securities, as well as Sanctuary Alterative Solutions, Sanctuary Insurance Solutions, Sanctuary Global, and Sanctuary Global Tax and Family Office.

McGuireWoods
International law firm McGuireWoods has added partner Garrett Johnston, who advises private equity funds, their portfolio companies, independent sponsors and family offices on transactional matters. He is based in Houston, Texas.

Johnston represents clients in leveraged buyouts, acquisitions, divestitures, recapitalizations, joint ventures and securities transactions. His deal experience covers industries including energy, healthcare and technology. He comes to McGuireWoods from Willkie Farr & Gallagher.

He is the fourth partner to join McGuireWoods’ Houston office this year. His arrival follows the recent additions of labor and employment partner Jason Huebinger and healthcare partners Janice Suchyta and Jonathan Ishee.

The firm serves individual and institutional clients.

Advisor Group
Advisor Group, a US network, has recruited Rosenblum Wealth Management, a solo practice based in Jupiter, Florida, and Flemington, New Jersey, into its orbit. The group oversees $173 million in total client assets.

Rosenblum Wealth Management joins Advisor Group through its subsidiary and network member firm SagePoint Financial. Advisor Group also includes FSC Securities, Royal Alliance Associates, Securities America, Triad Advisors, and Woodbury Financial Services, Advisor Group said in a statement today.

Led by CEO Lee Rosenblum, a 30-year plus veteran of the financial services industry, Rosenblum Wealth Management specializes in investment management services, tax services, life insurance products and long-term care solutions.
