Who's Moving Where In Wealth Management? - RBC, CUNA,

Here is the latest summary of moves and hires in the North America wealth management sector.

RBC Wealth Management
RBC Wealth Management in the US has recruited Allen Smith to its Plano office in Texas. 
Smith, who is a senior vice president and financial advisor, previously worked at Hilltop Securities. He brings with him more than 20 years of industry experience and managers $180 million of asseets. Also joining with Smith is Kimberley Shelton, senior registered client associate.

CUNA Mutual Group 
CUNA Mutual Group, the insurance and investment firm in the US, has hired Rob Comfort as president of CUNA Brokerage Services, Inc. and Martin Powell as vice president of strategic account development and management for the company’s wealth management business.

Comfort will be responsible for leading CBSI sales operations and further developing CBSI’s network of 400 advisors located at more than 250 credit unions across the country. Previously, Comfort was executive vice president at LPL Financial where he guided strategic direction for the company’s business consulting team and managed partnerships with bank and credit union clients. He also previously served as director of Huntington Wealth Advisors and president of Huntington Investment Company where he led the broker-dealer operations and broader wealth management services.

Powell will work for CUNA Mutual Group’s annuity business to lead the distribution expansion for the company’s fast-growing annuity products into broker-dealer relationships. He joins the company with more than 20 years of experience in wealth management, business management and sales development. Most recently, he was vice president and senior account manager with Lincoln Financial Group, where he led strategic partnerships and product sales strategy.

Summit Trail Advisors
Summit Trail Advisors has appointed Justin Waterman as partner and named Sarah Silverio as vice president. The duo advise on $500 million of client assets and will be based at Summit Trail headquarters in New York City.

Summit Trail Advisors, a Dynasty Financial Partners network firm, is an independent advisory firm created by wealth management executives in July 2015.  It has more than $4 billion in assets under administration.

Waterman and Silverio join Summit Trail from Fischer and Company, Summit Trail Advisors said in a statement.
