The latest senior wealth management and legal practice moves from across Asia.

Harneys law firm has named Yucheng Fan as a partner in its Investment Funds practice based in Hong Kong.

Fluent in four languages, including Japanese, Yucheng Fan, who is joining from another Hong Kong offshore law firm, specialises in Cayman Islands and British Virgin Islands fund business. He advises on creating and maintaining private equity funds, venture capital funds, corporate capital funds, hedge funds and unit trusts.

The firm advises on all aspects of Cayman, BVI, Cyprus or Luxembourg funds including formation, restructuring and closure in planned and distressed scenarios. The firm has also established a dedicated offshore regulatory practice providing regulated clients with legal support.

“We are committed to expanding our investment funds offering and believe that Yucheng’s practice, extensive track record and multilingual language capabilities will help us go from strength to strength,” Asia head of funds and regulatory, Maggie Kwok, said.

BOC Hong Kong (Holdings) has appointed Liu Jin as vice chairman, non-executive director and member of the nomination and remuneration committee and the strategy and budget committee. 

Liu has been VC and executive director of Bank of China since June 2021 and has been the president of Bank of China since April 2021, BOC said in a statement yesterday.
