Singapore-based GIC, the
sovereign wealth fund, has reportedly appointed former Credit Suisse senior
figure Lawrence Beck as a director in its technology group.
Beck worked for the Swiss bank in Hong Kong for 11 years. In his latest role there, he was a managing director and head of investment banking technology for Asia-Pacific. Before that, he worked at Morgan Stanley.
