Eurizon
Eurizon, the asset
management company of Italy’s Intesa Sanpaolo Group, has
appointed Dickson Man as head of Asia distribution. Based in Hong
Kong, he will report to Sean Debow, CEO of Eurizon Capital Asia.
The role is a new one for the firm, it said in a statement yesterday.
The appointment comes after Eurizon expanded its investment and operations teams in Asia last year. The Asia team manages the firm’s emerging markets' equity and China A equity active strategies.
Dickson brings eight years’ experience in the asset management industry at T Rowe Price, BlackRock and NinetyOne, servicing clients across Asia. Before that, he spent over five years at global consumer brands.
Eurizon has had a presence in Asia since 2007 when it acquired a 49 per cent share of Penghua Fund Management, an asset management company based in Shenzhen with over $110 billion assets under management as at 30 September 2020. The firm first operated in Hong Kong as a branch from 2012. It was incorporated in 2015 as a hub to support the company’s business in the region and renamed as Eurizon Capital Asia Ltd in November 2020. In 2016 Intesa Sanpaolo set up a China wealth management business, Yi Tsai, in order to distribute its products in China.
