Capital Advisors, a technology and advisory collection of
start-ups working with Asia-based insurers, has appointed former
C-suite Manulife figure John Brisco as its chief executive.
Brisco joins co-founders Michael Chan and Fred Ngan as part of
the Coherent Group management team.
Brisco was most recently chief investment officer and chief operating officer at Manulife Asia, CCA said in a statement.
Coherent Group, based in Hong Kong, is a collection of “insurtech” start-ups including Coherent Capital Advisors and Seasonalife.
Templeton Emerging Markets Investment Trust
Templeton Emerging Markets Investment Trust (TEMIT) has
appointed senior managing director and director of portfolio
management Chetan Sehgal, as lead portfolio manager of
TEMIT, with immediate effect.
Based in Singapore, Sehgal takes over from Carlos Hardenberg, who will leave the company on 31 March 2018 to pursue other opportunities.
Hardenberg will continue as a portfolio manager for TEMIT until his departure.
Sehgal has been a portfolio manager and senior research analyst for TEMIT for the past two years, working closely with Hardenberg and Dr. Mark Mobius, who retired from Franklin Templeton on 31 January 2018. Sehgal is responsible for overseeing Franklin Templeton’s global emerging markets strategy.
