BNY Mellon has
appointed Roman Regelman as senior executive vice president and
head of digital, taking effect from September 17.
Regelman will report to chairman and chief executive, Charles Scharf, and will join the firm's executive committee.
In the newly-created position, Regelman will be responsible for setting the strategic direction for the firm's digital future and investing in client and internal digital capabilities, including data management, analytics, artificial intelligence, machine learning and robotics. He will build a new global team for the entire company, developing and attracting digital talent.
He has over 25 years of experience in digital, operations and management consulting and has launched several fintechs. Most recently, he was a partner and managing director at Boston Consulting Group (BCG) where he co-led its financial institutions digital business.
Laird Norton Wealth Management
Seattle-based Laird
Norton Wealth Management has appointed Carla Wigen as
managing director of fiduciary. She will report to Bob Moser, the
firm’s president and chief executive.
Wigen brings almost 20 years of experience in wealth management and private banking focused exclusively on trusts and estate planning. Wigen was regional manager of investment and fiduciary services at Wells Fargo Bank and the market leader for Bellevue and Alaska. Previously, she was a trust manager at Washington Trust Bank and served as a senior trust officer at Northwestern Trust, now The Harris Trust. She started her career as an associate attorney at Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt, PC, specializing in business, tax and real estate law.
The new role sees her working with figures including Jeanne Goussev, managing director of fiduciary services.
