Who's Moving Where In Wealth Management? - BNY Mellon, GAM

The latest senior moves in wealth and asset management from across Asia.
BNY Mellon Investment Management has made two hires for its teams in Hong Kong.
Barnaby Jones has joined as vice president for Institutional Distribution, reporting to Eric Yu, head of Greater China, institutional distribution. Jones will focus on driving business growth amongst institutional investors such as sovereigns, pensions, endowments and insurance firms in Hong Kong, Macau and select markets in South East Asia.
Victor Lam has joined as vice president for intermediary distribution, reporting to Nicolas Kopitsis, head of intermediary distribution Asia ex Japan. Lam will focus on building on existing relationships and growing new relationships with private banks in Hong Kong, as well as expanding BNY Mellon Investment Management’s footprint in Hong Kong’s retail channels.
Jones brings almost 10 years’ experience in institutional distribution, seven of which have been spent in Asia. He was most recently associate director, institutional business, Asia-Pacific, at M&G Investments, where he managed relationships with clients across Asia ex-Japan, representing the company’s fixed income, equity, multi-asset and alternative strategies.
Lam has over 15 years’ sales, advisory and relationship management experience specifically in private banking and asset management. He was most recently an associate director at Value Partners and prior to that assistant vice president, business development at Pinebridge Investments.
BNY Mellon Investment Management oversees $2.0 trillion in assets under management as of 30 June.

Investments has appointed Jill Barber as global head of
institutional solutions. Barber reports to group chief executive
Peter Sanderson. She wil joins on 1 November, partnering with
Jeremy Roberts, who joined the firm on 1 September as global head
of distribution with a focus on wholesale clients. Together they
will lead GAM’s sales and distribution efforts.
Barber brings 25 years’ experience in sales, business development, client relationship management and consultant relations. She will be joining from Jupiter Asset Management, where she has been global head of institutional. Prior to that, Barber was head of institutional for the UK and Ireland at Franklin Templeton Investments. She has also had senior distribution roles at Hermes and Fidelity Worldwide Investment.
