Partners, a private investment office, has appointed Laurence
Forrester as a partner, in a bid to strengthen its UK
presence.
Forrester is a finance professional with 17 years of experience, working as a portfolio director at Cazenove Capital from 2008 to 2020. Most recently, he completed an Oxford University course, with a focus on fintech, the firm said.
Welcoming the appointment, Forrester said: "After working in large companies, the opportunity to provide an exclusive group of clients with a far higher level of service and attention in a boutique setting is an inspiring prospect.β

Saxo Markets UK
Saxo Bank, a fintech specialist focused on multi-asset trading
and investment, has appointed Joanna Moberly as the new head of
legal and company secretary at its UK subsidiary, Saxo Markets UK.
Moberly brings experience in financial services law, having previously worked for major UK financial institutions including Lloyds Banking Group and Barclays for over 10 years, the firm said. She is joining from Lloyds Banking Group where she was a senior lawyer in the commercial banking team. She started her career at global law firm Dentons LLP in the banking and finance teams.
Moberly will be based in London, reporting to Charles White-Thomson, CEO of Saxo Markets UK. In addition to her new role, she continues to be a member of the legal community volunteering to mentor College of Law students as well as young people seeking to enter the legal profession, the firm added.
London-based Saxo Markets UK is a licensed subsidiary of Saxo Bank, and a provider of multi-asset trading and investment. The Saxo Bank Group holds four banking licenses, with client assets worth more than β¬45 billion ($48 billion).
Quilter
Quilter, the UK-listed
wealth manager, has appointed senior financial sector figure Glyn
Barker as chairman, subject to regulatory approval, effective
from 7 September 2022.
Barker will join the board as a non-executive director and a member of the board remuneration committee, and the board corporate governance and nominations committee effective from 1 June 2022.
Ruth Markland will continue as chair of Quilter until Barkerβs appointment as chair becomes effective.
After an executive career with PwC, culminating with appointment as vice chairman, UK and chief executive for markets: Europe, Middle East, Africa and India, Barker has held a number of senior non-executive positions including chairman of The Berkeley Group and senior independent director of Aviva.
