Ninety One
Global asset manager Ninety One has appointed
Ben Lambert (pictured) from Canada Pension Plan
Investment Board (CPPIB) as co-portfolio manager
for its 4Factor European equities team.
With 20 years of industry experience, Lambert has been a senior portfolio manager at CPPIB since 2014, responsible for developed market equity portfolios. He was also interim head of sustainable investing between 2018 and 2019, overseeing and implementing transformative changes for the plan’s approach. In this role, he led the environmental, social and governance (ESG) integration, engagement, and sustainability-related investment research across all asset classes.
Prior to this he worked in portfolio management at Odey
Asset Management and Och-Ziff Capital Management Europe, and
investment banking roles with UBS and ABN AMRO, all with a
European focus.
“Attracting best-in-class talent is key. The strength of Ben’s
investment track-record, background in sustainable investing and
deep understanding of the European equity markets will be an
asset to the 4Factor European strategy,” Mimi Ferrini, co-chief
investment officer, Ninety One, said.
The company's 4Factor team specialises in bottom-up, fundamental equity stock pickers, serving clients with regional and global solutions.
Brewin Dolphin
UK wealth manager Brewin Dolphin has
promoted Janet Mui to head of market analysis.
Mui, who is currently investment director, will have an integral role in the investment offerings team and will be a voting member of the asset allocation committee.
She will also be responsible for creating content and delivery of
external communication of macro views, and curating market
insight updates to help develop and grow Brewin Dolphin’s

Based in London, Mui will continue as the firm’s spokesperson,
delivering commentary and analysis to the media. She has done
over 120 televised interviews since joining the company in June
2020 and has received a number of awards including LinkedIn
China’s key opinion leader 2021.
“The new role will enable Janet to further support clients with her investment analysis and also help build brand awareness by increasing her presence as a leading voice in the industry and sought-after commentator in the financial media,” Guy Foster, chief strategist at Brewin Dolphin, said.
