Who's Moving Where In Wealth Management? – MetaComp

The latest moves and appointments for senior roles for Asia-Pacific wealth management.

Singapore-regulated MetaComp, the digital assets platform, has appointed financial services veteran John Kang as chief financial officer.

Kang is responsible for leading the strategic planning, implementation, and managing all the firm's financial activities alongside executive chairman and co-founder, Dr Bo Bai. Kang's role also extends to the firm’s parent company, MetaVerse Green Exchange, the Singapore-based green fintech company.

Prior to this, Kang was CFO of EMQ Inc, a global payments services firm focused on the digital economy, where he oversaw several functions, including accounting, finance, and treasury functions across multiple markets and subsidiaries. During this time he closed the company's Series Seed, Series A, and Series B fundraisings.

In total, Kang has worked in North Asia’s financial services industry for more than two decades, working in hedge fund, banking and corporate advisory roles at firms such as Citigroup, Citadel and Goldman Sachs.

Metacomp is regulated by the Monetary Authority of Singapore.
