Who's Moving Where In Wealth Management? – JP Morgan AM, Simmons & Simmons, Others

The latest moves in wealth management roles in the Asia-Pacific industry.

JP Morgan Asset Management
JP Morgan Asset Management (JPMAM) has appointed Stefania Vivarini as an ETF specialist for Australia to bolster its capabilities and distribution in the rapidly growing ETF market. Based in Sydney, Vivarini (pictured) reports to Philippe El-Asmar, head of APAC ETF, digital and direct and locally to Mark Carlile, head of wholesale, Australia and New Zealand.

Vivarini will be responsible for promoting the full range of active ETF solutions, working with clients to deliver tailored investment strategies. She has more than 18 years' experience in the financial services industry, with a focus on investment product distribution and client relationship management.

Prior to this role, Vivarini served as a national key account manager at Vanguard Investments Australia, where she launched ETF-based separately managed accounts.

Simmons & Simmons
International law firm Simmons & Simmons has appointed Jennifer Tam as partner in its employment and benefits practice in Hong Kong, effective 6 May.

Tam, who has 15 years’ specialist employment litigation and advisory experience, has worked in contentious employment, discrimination, harassment and data privacy. She routinely manages litigation from the Labour Tribunal to the Court of Final Appeal and leads investigations by the Labour Department, Equal Opportunities Commission and Privacy Commissioner.

On advisory, Tan will support Simmons’ work to guide clients through internal investigations, disciplinary actions, terminations, labour relations, and HR matters such as workforce structuring and post-termination restrictions.

Beyond her legal practice, Tan serves as an executive council member of the Hong Kong Institute of Human Resources Management and a member of the People Strategies Committee of the Employers' Federation of Hong Kong.

Tan studied for her bachelor of laws and masters of laws at the University of Hong Kong. She started her career in law in 2007 as an associate at Mayer Brown, where she gained 12 years of experience before her promotion to partner. She later moved to JSM, as partner in the employment and benefits practice, advising on all areas of employment law, in particular on contentious employment, discrimination, harassment and data privacy disputes.

FSSA Investment Managers
FSSA Investment Managers, which operates in Singapore and Hong Kong, has appointed two new investment analysts.

Manya Mishra, who is joining as an investment analyst focused on India equities, will relocate from Mumbai to join the Singapore office in July. Mishra has 10 years of investment experience, most recently as a senior investment analyst at Arisaig Partners, where she covered consumer businesses and digital platforms in India.

Ziqi Deng is joining as an investment analyst covering Asia and emerging markets, with a focus on China. Deng was previously a global emerging markets portfolio manager at Genesis in London, and at Matthews Asia in San Francisco. Starting in the London office, Deng will move to Hong Kong early in 2026.

The FSSA team employs a conviction-based, bottom-up stock selection process with a strong emphasis on fundamental research and analysis. It manages $21.8 billion for clients and operates as an autonomous investment team within First Sentier Investors.

Eastspring Investments
Eastspring Investments, the $258 billion asset management business of Prudential plc, has appointed Salman Haider as head of ASEAN and chief executive officer of Eastspring Singapore (subject to regulatory approval), in addition to his current role as chief distribution officer. Haider will continue to report to Bill Maldonado, chief executive officer, Eastspring Investments Group.

Based in Singapore, Haider joined Eastspring in March 2024 as chief distribution officer. He oversees the firm’s global distribution business and the management of its Prudential Life relationships, along with responsibilities for its Japan and Americas markets. In his expanded role covering Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia, Haider will spearhead Eastspring’s growth strategy in ASEAN, in particular providing solutions for clients and delivering exceptional service for clients and stakeholders.

“Since joining us a year ago, Salman has demonstrated exceptional leadership and has been instrumental in deepening our relationships with clients,” Maldonado said. “In his expanded role, Salman will be pivotal in driving business growth and strengthening our presence in ASEAN.”
