Who's Moving Where In Wealth Management? – Harneys

The latest senior moves, appointments and personnel changes in the Asia-Pacific wealth management sector.

Harneys
Harneys, an offshore law firm, has appointed Esure Wu as counsel in its private wealth team, based in the Shanghai office.

Wu advises ultra-high net worth Asian individuals and families, as well as trust companies and single- and multi-family offices, on preserving, protecting and transferring wealth across borders and generations. His experience includes family trusts, private trust companies (PTCs), private and charitable foundations, family office structuring, PRC red-chip and cross-border holding structures, anti-money laundering, tax compliance and reporting, and related regulatory matters from an offshore perspective.

His experience includes delivering structures across international financial centres, including Jersey, Guernsey, the Isle of Man, the Cayman Islands, the BVI, Hong Kong and Singapore.

“His training across common law, PRC and US legal systems gives him a multi-jurisdictional perspective that few offshore practitioners possess, and his deep experience advising Asian ultra-high net worth families on offshore structures is a natural complement to our team,” Vicky Lord, mainland China managing partner, said.
