Bank has appointed Derek Ngai as the head of audit, taking
effect from 7 October. Ngai will be taking over from
Jennifer Zhou, who completed her six-year tenure at Hang Seng
Bank on 16 September 2024.
Before joining the bank, Ngai was the audit head for Hong Kong and Macau at HSBC. He has also served in various audit and banking roles at HSBC over the past decade.
Ngai holds a bachelor of arts in economics from the University of British Columbia and a master of business administration from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. He is also a CPA holder and a professional member of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Lazard Asset Management
Lazard
Asset Management (LAM) has hired Ada Zhang as director of
China sales.
Zhang, who is based in Hong Kong, will use Lazard’s Asia ex-Japan distribution team to provide services to existing clients as well as lead initiatives to drive growth in the region, the firm said in a statement. She will also spearhead LAM’s business development strategy for onshore China, alongside Lazard’s senior advisor for China, Ken Fan.
Prior to joining LAM, Zhang spent 11 years at Capital Group Investment Management where she was managing director – head of Greater China, institutional.
