The latest senior moves in wealth management, private banking and related sectors in the Asia-Pacific region.

HSBC
HSBC Bank (Singapore) has appointed the group chief operating officer of HSBC, Suzy White (pictured below), to its board. The appointment took effect from 30 January.

Suzy White

White, who was made group COO in October 2024, is a member of the group operating committee. She has worked at HSBC for 25 years, serving in roles such as COO for global banking and markets, regional COO for global markets in the Americas, and chief risk officer for global banking and markets and commercial banking in the US. She has also held several board positions at HSBC, and the Commodities Futures Trading Commission Market Risk Advisory Committee.

KGI
KGI, the Asian financial group, has appointed Aaron Long as managing director for wealth management.

Long will be based in Hong Kong, reporting to James Wey, head of international wealth management. Long will lead initiatives to strengthen KGI’s wealth advisory practice, accelerate distribution across wealth-related products, and develop integrated solutions for clients’ sophisticated needs.

Before this move, Long served in senior roles at HSBC, Manulife, AIG, and Aflac in China and the US. In recent years, he dedicated five years to scaling HSBC China’s wealth management business and, in 2022, he founded and served as the inaugural CEO of HSBC life insurance brokerage firm.
