Amundi
Amundi has appointed
Jason Lim as head of distribution and wealth sales – South Asia
ex Malaysia & Thailand, based in Singapore. He reports to Albert
Tse, chief executive officer of Amundi in South Asia, and to
Gaëtan Delculée, head of distribution and wealth.
Lim is responsible for relationship management and business development across private banks, retail banks, insurers, IFAs and platforms in the region.
He has joined from Allianz Global Investors, where he was most recently a director and team lead in wholesale distribution for South East Asia. He has previously worked at Aberdeen Asset Management, Franklin Templeton and Citibank.
Lim holds a bachelor of engineering (Hons) in mechanical engineering and a master of science in asset and wealth management, both from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.
Amundi, headquartered in Paris, distributes funds to institutional and wealth clients across Asia through banks, insurers and independent advisors.
Keenai
Keenai,
a wealthtech platform for accredited investors built in
partnership with Lighthouse Canton, has appointed Varun Mittal as
country head, Singapore, ahead of the launch of Keenai Wealth on
19 August.
Mittal will be responsible for leading Keenai's introduction to Singapore and the wider region, overseeing distribution, partnerships and client acquisition as the platform opens to a broader base of accredited investors. Keenai brings asset classes including bonds, hedge funds and structured notes into a single account, backed by Lighthouse Canton's infrastructure. Regulated financial services on the platform are provided by Lighthouse Canton Pte Ltd, which is regulated by the Monetary Authority of Singapore.
Mittal was most recently chief digital and innovation officer at Singlife, where he helped the insurer take the largest share of Singapore's digital life insurance segment. Previously, he was the first marketing and sales hire at helloPay, the region's first pan-ASEAN digital wallet, growing it to more than 20 million users and a team of over 160 people across six countries before its acquisition by Ant Financial. Mittal also led EY's global emerging-markets fintech practice across 130 countries and has been included on the Monetary Authority of Singapore's Top 10 FinTech Leaders list twice. He is founder of Fintech Nation, a Singapore-based platform spanning a book series, an investment fund and a mentorship initiative, and a co-founder of the Singapore FinTech Association. Mittal has co-written two books charting the rise of Singapore's fintech sector – Singapore: The Fintech Nation and The Fintech Nation: Excellence Unlocked in Singapore.

Berman, an investment manager, has appointed Bertrand Ng
as alternative product specialist, APAC. Based in Singapore, he
is joining the client coverage team and will report to
Jose Cosio, head of intermediary, EMEA, LatAm and APAC.
Ng was formerly with iCapital SG Pte. Ltd, where he was chief executive officer, leading the firm's Singapore operations and the expansion of its private markets platform across Asia.
Before that, he spent over a decade at JP Morgan Private Bank in Singapore and Hong Kong, where his roles included alternative investments specialist, covering private equity, venture capital, private credit and real estate for private wealth clients. Earlier in his career he worked at Merrill Lynch Wealth Management in Singapore.
