Standard Chartered, BlackRock
Standard Chartered has made a global collaboration with Aladdin Wealth, BlackRock's wealth management technology platform, to bolster the bank’s wealth advisory and risk management capabilities for its relationship managers and investment advisors through its myWealthAdvisor platform.

The collaboration builds on the partnership between the London and Hong Kong-listed bank and BlackRock and reflects Standard Chartered’s investment in digital innovation to elevate client experience.

By integrating Aladdin Wealth into myWealth Advisor, the bank aims to equip its relationship managers and investment advisors with advanced analytics and portfolio insights, enabling more intuitive, data-led and personalised advice for its affluent clients.

Aladdin Wealth enables portfolio risk and return analysis across a wide range of asset classes, including equities, fixed income, funds, exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and alternatives. It also introduces enhanced capabilities such as stress testing and scenario analysis, helping advisors support clients to gain a better understanding of how their portfolios might perform under different market conditions, as well as portfolio management tools to support more tailored investment strategies.

The integration enhances the bank’s myWealth Advisor platform by providing relationship managers and investment advisors with a view of portfolio risks and deeper, more holistic portfolio analytics to support client conversations, the firm said in a statement.

“By integrating BlackRock’s industry-recognised Aladdin Wealth platform into myWealth Advisor, we are strengthening how we deliver personalised, insights-led advice at scale,” Samir Subberwal, global head, wealth solutions, retail products, data and analytics, Standard Chartered, said. “At the same time, we are equipping our frontline with advanced tools to support more informed conversations and help clients navigate the increasingly complex market environment with confidence.”

“As portfolio complexity and client expectations evolve, deeper risk insights and analytics can help wealth managers take a whole portfolio view and deliver tailored advice at scale,” Susan Chan, head of Asia Pacific, BlackRock, added.

The initial rollout will cover Singapore and Hong Kong catering to the bank’s priority private banking client segments, with plans to expand into additional markets over time.

myWealth Advisor is Standard Chartered’s personalised investment planning tool that combines chief investment office house views and expert insights to help clients capture investment opportunities.
