Northern Trust has added private market capabilities to add to its recently launched ArcLine Alternatives platform for the US firm’s wealth management clients.

The investment offering was developed with alternative investment technology firm Artivest, and comes at a time when interest in private debt and equity sectors continues to grow because of their ability to deliver superior returns than those from listed equities and conventional bond markets.

With $295.5 billion of assets under management, as at the end of September, Northern Trust Wealth Management is one of the largest wealth houses in the US.
