The latest in funds and investment news from across North America.

Family offices, high net worth individuals and private wealth managers were among those putting $141.5 million into a fund run by Manna Tree Partners, a Vail, Colorado-based investment firm that invests in companies focused on human health and wellbeing.

The fund is called Manna Tree Partners Fund I.

Manna Tree Partners was founded in 2018 by Gabrielle Rubenstein, its chief executive; Ross Iverson, chief investment officer; and Brent Drever, chief operating officer. The fund has made four investments to date.

"Demand for healthy food is rising dramatically. This fund will enable us to support and grow companies that produce, process and distribute healthy food. We are grateful to our investors for their confidence and commitment. We are proud to partner with sophisticated investors from around the world who agree that now is a great time to invest in companies that promote nutrition and the concept of food as medicine,” Rubenstein said.

A total of 131 investors in 18 countries committed to the fund.
