Goldman Sachs Asset Management(GSAM) has launched five new thematic investment funds for retail investors in Singapore, pending approval from the Monetary Authority of Singapore. The focus is on ESG, technology, healthcare and Asia high yield.

The funds, previously only available to private banking and institutional investors, and rolled out to match growing retail investor sophistication, include: Goldman Sachs ESG-Enhanced Global Income Bond Portfolio; Goldman Sachs Global Environmental Impact Equity Portfolio; Goldman Sachs Global Future Technology Leaders Equity Portfolio; Goldman Sachs Global Future Health Care Equity Portfolio; and Goldman Sachs Asia High Yield Bond Portfolio.

It brings GSAM’s total offering to 27 retail-registered funds in Singapore. The asset management arm of Goldman Sachs manages around $1.8 trillion in assets.

“Our newly-launched funds are focused on key investment themes that have been brought to the forefront by the pandemic and serve as high-quality timely solutions for investors to capture opportunities in the market,” Daphne Chan, chief executive and head of the firm’s South and South East Asia Client Business, said.
