What's New In Investments, Funds? - Capital Group

The latest in new funds, investments and deals affecting wealth management clients in Asia and other parts of the world.

Capital Group
Capital Group, has launched a Luxembourg-based UCITS fund, pitched at Asian investors. It is called Capital Group New Economy Fund (LUX).

The fund is based on, and managed by, the same investment team as the Capital Group New Economy strategy (New Economy) from the US, which has a 36-year track record. Launched in 1983, New Economy is a growth-oriented, global equity strategy that pursues growth by investing in companies which can benefit from innovation, exploit new technologies or provide products and services that meet the demands of an evolving global economy.

Over its lifetime, the strategy has beaten the MSCI All Country World Index (ACWI), returning 10.5 per cent per annum after fees, Capital Group said in a statement yesterday.

The firm is one of the largest asset management firms, overseeing more than $2.1 trillion of assets under management, as of 31 December 2019.

This fund is now available for DBS Bank's clients in Singapore, it added.
