Stock Exchange has launched the ESG InfoHub and Investment
InfoHub – The Taiwan Markets Dashboard.
This gives information to international investors about ESG topics such as fossil fuel use, labour standards and boardroom governance.
Known as “TWSE,” it hopes to shine a sharper light on listed companies, make the Taiwanese market more competitive against its rivals and attracts capital to the jurisdiction, the stock market said in a statement this week.
Explaining its rationale, TWISE said Taiwan has benefited this year from the “frenzy” over artificial intelligence and an expected end to US rate rises.
So far in 2023, the proportion of foreign capital in Taiwan stocks exceeded 40 per cent, boosting Taiwan stock prices. As of 30 June, Taiwan's stock market has been up 19.65 per cent since the start of 2023.
The “InfoHub” integrates information from the official website of the TWSE, Market Observation Post System and Market Information System websites. Information on the markets and listed companies is presented with graphics and visualised analytic reports. The ESG InfoHub website adds ESG information into the mix.

Hong Kong has launched new ESG investing-focused whole of
life protection plans: SunGuardian, SunGuardian (Care Version)
and SunProtect. They are targeted at the protection needs of
clients going through different stages of life.
SunGuardian and SunGuardian (Care Version) are participating insurance plans that offer whole of life protection for senior clients. These plans are designed to provide all-round lifelong protection and lasting financial security for clients in their 'golden years', addressing their gravest concerns about old age.
The “care version” offering provides further support in the form of the Severe Dementia Accelerated Benefit.
Furthermore, SunProtect is also a participating insurance plan that offers whole of life protection for clients at the prime age of their life.
SunGuardian, SunGuardian (Care Version) and SunProtect embed ESG elements in the investment strategies. The firm said that they represent the first ESG investing-focused whole of life protection plans in the market.
