Wealth, Retail Head At Hang Seng Bank Named As Executive Director; Predecessor Departs

There is change at the top of the Hong Kong-based banking and wealth management firm.
The head of retail and wealth management at Hang Seng Bank, the Hong Kong-based lender, is taking over as executive director, taking over from Patrick Chan, who is to resign as of 1 May to pursue other interests. He had been head of Greater China.
Margaret Kwan will be appointed as executive director of the bank with effect from 13 May 2017, it said in a statement yesterday.
According to the articles of association of the bank, Kwan’s appointment will cease after the bank's 2018 annual general meeting is concluded. Upon that time and subject to her election by the shareholders, her term of appointment as a director will be for three years, expiring at the conclusion of the AGM in 2021.
