Vistra Names New Singapore Country Managing Director
Vistra, a provider of business services to help companies and private capital funds grow, creates new senior role.
Vistra has appointed David Anderson as country managing director (CMD) for Singapore. In this newly-created role, Anderson reports directly to Kim Jenkins, chief operating officer.
The new CMD role signifies the importance of Singapore in Vistra’s Asia-Pacific and global network, the firm said in a statement.
As a hub for cross-border investment, Anderson’s priority is to ensure that Vistra’s inbound and outbound clients in Singapore receive a good service – backed by technology – from its in-market experts and global delivery hubs.
He is joining Vistra from GLG (Gerson Lehrman Group) where he was the managing director, south APAC, with a focus on the private equity sector. With over two decades of experience in business services and consulting, Anderson adds experience and a network across the Asia-Pacific region. He also speaks Mandarin having studied Chinese Language at Tunghai University in Taiwan.
Last year, Vistra wrapped up its acquisition of Asia’s Tricor Group. It recently announced that it was introducing a new logo, brand and approach that invites clients to “feel the flow” as they remove barriers to growth goals.
“Vistra’s sector has in the past been quite traditional – a ‘sea of sameness’ – so this shift also provides an opportunity for Vistra to establish itself as a force for global progress, building a differentiated positioning as it starts a new growth cycle. This process has seen the company redefine almost every aspect of its business – from its brand (with a new logo) to its aspirations, values, and culture, and even to how it presents and delivers its services for clients,” a spokesperson said. “This is a region of high ambition and equally high complexity,” Kim Jenkins, chief operating officer at Vistra, added. “Our purpose is progress, which we’ll achieve by supporting clients’ ambitions in their own growth journeys,” Anderson said.
