Union Bancaire Privée Names New Singapore COO

The COO joins the Geneva-based bank having previously held senior posts at Bank of Singapore, as well as Barclays.
Union Bancaire Privée, the private banking group, has appointed Jérôme Thuillier as chief operating officer in Singapore. He is taking over from James Pritchard, who has left the firm to pursue other opportunities.
With over 23 years of experience in the financial services industry, most recently Thuillier was the programme director for the Bank of Singapore Wealth Platform, where he was responsible for building an integrated wealth management technology platform, cutting across multiple segments and all channels, including digital. Prior to this, Thuillier worked in leadership roles within Barclays Wealth’s product functions, including those of COO for Global Investment Solutions, where he led the team responsible for building a foreign exchange and derivatives infrastructure platform.
Thuillier holds a master’s degree in mathematics from Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Mines de Nancy in France, as well as a master’s in space studies from the University of North Dakota.
A man of diverse talents, Thuillier was also the youngest person in France to obtain a pilot’s license at the age of 15. He has worked for most of his financial career in Asia, and speaks Mandarin and Japanese.
