Union Bancaire Privée Adds To Hong Kong Team
The Swiss private banking group has added to its capabilities in Hong Kong.
Union Bancaire Privée in Hong Kong has appointed three banking industry figures to join its team.
The Geneva-headquartered private bank has named Ivan Tam (pictured) as team head and Calvin Poon (pictured) as relationship manager. Based in Hong Kong, Poon will report to Tam; Tam will report to Teresa Lee, the Hong Kong CEO and region head for north Asia. Separately, Leslie Ching has been appointed as lead investment consultant, UHNW business.
Ivan Tam
Tam brings more than 20 years of wealth management experience in the Greater China region. Most recently, he was senior director, relationship management at HSBC Private Banking. Tam also served in leadership roles at the private banking arms of Deutsche Bank and Standard Chartered.
Poon, with more than 20 years of experience in global financial institutions, has worked with high net worth and ultra-HNW clients across the Greater China market. Previously, he was director, RM, at Deutsche Bank Wealth Management, where he focused on client acquisition and portfolio management. Prior to that, Poon was director, RM at Standard Chartered Bank.
Calvin Poon
Ching (pictured below) was previously executive director, investment counsellor, at Bank of Singapore, where he managed portfolios for UHNW and HNW clients. Before that, he worked as investment counsellor at HSBC and EFG Bank.
Leslie Ching
