UK Investment Manager Names Asia-Pac Real Estate Equities Analyst

Standard Life Investments has named a former LaSalle Investment Management analyst at its new equities analyst for Asia-Pacific.

Standard Life Investments, the global investment manager headquartered in the UK, has appointed a dedicated real estate analyst for its Asia-Pacific business.

Toshio Tangiku joins the company as Asia-Pacific real estate equities analyst. Based in Hong Kong, he reports to Svitlana Gubriy, fund manager for real estate listed funds. He was previously a securities analyst at LaSalle Investment Management in Australia and had also worked for Deloitte Consulting. 

In his new role, he will be working closely with Tamsin Balfour, who recently relocated from Edinburgh to Hong Kong as chief operating officer. The appointments are part of SLI's move to expand its Hong Kong team, which currently manages 11 global real estate investment trust strategies.

Standard Life Investments manages $305 billion on behalf of clients worldwide as at 31 December 2013. Its investment capabilities cover equities, bonds, real estate, private equity, multi-asset solutions, fund-of-funds and absolute return strategies.
