UBS was voted the most successful private bank in 2005 in last week’s WealthBriefing’s poll.
UBS gained 52 per cent of the vote, far ahead of its rivals Credit Suisse, which gained 11 per cent of the vote and Coutts, which notched up 10 per cent of the vote.
WealthBriefing asked the question: Which of these Private Banks had the most successful 2005?
Other banks on the list were HSBC Private Bank, which won 7 per cent of the vote; Julius Baer, also 7 per cent; and Citigroup and EFG, which both only managed to gain 2 per cent of the vote.
Seven per cent of those voted believed none of the above-listed private banks had the most successful year in 2005 – presumably believing other names should have been mentioned.
