UBS Wealth Management Head Gets Wide Approval – Poll

UBS's Marcel Rohner, head of the biggest global wealth management business, was viewed by WealthBriefing readers as the top of the tree in wealth management.

Mr Rohner gained 63 per cent of the votes in last week’s WealthBriefing poll question: “Which individual ranks as the global titan of wealth management?”

Readers were given a choice between Mr Rohner at UBS, Walter Berchtold at Credit Suisse, Clive Bannister at HSBC, Todd Thomson at Citigroup, and Robert McCann at Merrill Lynch. They were also offered a "none of the above" choice.

Mr Rohner was the runaway winner, scoring 63 per cent of the vote, compared with just 3 per cent for Mr Bannister and Mr McCann, and 2 per cent for Mr Berchtold and Mr Thomson.

The last option – none of them – did pretty well, scoring 27 per cent, suggesting there are many other senior wealth managers who should have been included on this list.
