UBS Names New US Wealth Chief

The world's largest wealth manager has reshuffled its leadership in the US.

UBS has promoted a senior executive in the US to lead its wealth management operations in the country, aiming to challenge rivals in this marketplace.

The Zurich-listed firm has named Jason Chandler as head of wealth management in the US. He has been at the firm for more than 20 years.

In this role, Chandler will oversee almost 7,000 financial advisors. Prior to this, he was co-leading investment platforms globally. He succeeds Brian Hull, who will become executive vice chairman Americas. Hull has been with UBS since 2009, after 15 years at Merrill Lynch. These changes take effect from the start of January next year.

Christian Wiesendanger, who co-led the investment-platforms business with Chandler, will be the sole head of that unit operating from Switzerland.
